How the commission process works:
- You reach out to me about commissioning a knife.
- I ask you a few questions that help me determine how to design the knife. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be an expert. You don’t even need to know exactly what you want. I will help you through the process every step of the way!
- With the information you provide, I draw up an initial design.
- I submit a picture of the design to you via text, email, or social media.
- Upon receiving the picture, you tell me whether you like the design or not. If you dislike it, or if you like it but want to tweak an aspect of the design, I will modify (or entirely redraw) the design and submit it to you again. I will continue to communcate back and forth with you until we find the perfect fit for you.
- Once you settle on a design you love, I can then provide you with a price quote. Up until this point there is no obligation to buy, and no cost to you.
- If you wish to proceed with commissioning a knife after receiving the price quote, I will then take a deposit equal to half the total cost of the knife. This deposit is non refundable.
- Once the deposit clears my account, I will go about acquiring the materials needed for your knife and begin work.
- Upon completing the finished knife, I will contact you for the second half of the payment. Once the second payment clears my account, I will ship the knife to you within 1 – 2 business days.
